Arm warmers

Arm warmers are essentially knitted sleeves that are worn on a person’s arms. They are gradually growing in popularity and are now being worn by people in a number of different activities and settings. In addition to being used for sports and recreation, these warmers have also started to become more popular among certain groups as a fashion statement.
Although arm warmers vary in size and shape, the term “arm warmer” is generally used to describe glove-like clothing that is worn on the lower part of the arm. These warmers often have an opening at the fingers, which keeps the fingers exposed and allows for more functionality than gloves.
While these arm warmers were originally created to simply keep arms warm, their function has changed over the years. They are often worn by dancers before a dance class to help warm up their bodies.  They also are used by skiers and snowboarders to help stay warm while not restricting their movement or flexibility.
Even cyclists as well as distance runners have started to use these warmers to help keep their arms warm during early morning runs and rides.
Even people who are not athletes have started to wear these warmers. Some who consider themselves part of the emo, goth or punk sub-cultures have taken to wearing these warmers as a part of their dress.
Some people like arm warmers because they feel that the warmers give them a little bit of extra warmth that they need while on the slopes or on a run. However, there are many who have tried these arm warmers and have not liked them because they feel their arms are heavier for wearing them.
